Update Jul 2016 - Cambodian Medical Student Exchange
In March/April this year the Cambodian Medical Student Exchange Program brought two medical students to Sydney to undertake a four week elective.
Mr Bunrong Srun completed his 4 week elective placement in Ophthalmology at Concord Hospital and Ms Chanthy Srun completed hers at Nepean hospital.
Each has written a short, interesting report on their experience in Australia and their opportunity to learn about the medical care system in Australia.

The two Cambodian medical students, Sokheang Sin ("Heang") and Samboithyea Mam ("Vithyea"), have both now completed their placements at Westmead Childrens' Hospital. Each has written a short, interesting report on their experience in Australia and their observations on the difference in medical practice between Cambodia and Australia. Click here for details.
Latest Scholarship Information - March 2014
Interviews for 2015 scholarship were conducted this month. The successful applicants will be announced at the Sydney Medical School Prize Night in October.
The 2014 Scholarship awardees, Elissa Calderwood and Sally Plunkett, have now completed their placements in Cambodia. Their Impressions Reports can be found here....
The Cambodian Medical Student Exchange Program, which commenced in 2012, is again bringing two Cambodian medical students to undertake a four week elective at Westmead Children's Hospital in April/May this year. The two students are Samboithyea Mam and Sokheang Sin.
Congratulations to the two Cambodian exchange students from 2012, Souguech and Rya, who have recently graduated in their first stage of medical studies.
And Congratulations especially to Souguech who has announced that she is engaged, to be married in November!

Cambodian Medical Student Exchange Program
In 2012, University of Sydney commenced a new program for Cambodian medical students to undertake an elective in Australia. Two students, Miss Souguech Heng and Miss Sounchakrya Lok studied for eight weeks at the Children's Hospital, Westmead. Further details....

Cambodian Interest Group
